Lilypad is an AI-powered autonomous inspection system for offshore wind turbines. It was developed in collaboration between sees.ai, ISS Aerospace, and Marshall Futureworx (the venture building and advanced technologies arm of Marshall Group).  Our team worked to tailor sees.ai’s technology to meet our partners’ specific needs; Lilypad featured blade tracking technology, allowing it to inspect moving blades on live turbines. 

Deployed from offshore charging stations, drones could be monitored by a single remote pilot in an onshore control centre. This removes the need for engineers to perform manual offshore inspections, enabling faster, more frequent, and more reliable maintenance.
