BVLOS 2.0: Our Vision for BVLOS at Critical National Infrastructure Scale

In February, GSMA invited sees.ai John McKenna to speak at Mobile World Congress 2024 in Barcelona, the world’s largest and most influential connectivity event. There, John articulated sees.ai’s vision for ‘BVLOS 2.0’: a system of systems powering autonomous flight at critical national infrastructure scale.

John described: ‘a single layer of software that spans from onboard the Drone enabling autonomy, to offboard … ensuring that [stakeholders] have a stream of data that not just provides proof of safety to build permissions, but actually gives them trust… that’s BVLOS 2.0. That capability is ultimately more safe, more capable and more efficient. But critically – that capability can be scaled.’

Soon, the world will depend on a new robotic Operating System; fleets of connected autonomous vehicles will oversee legacy infrastructure to keep our society running. However, to make this a reality, we need to demonstrate a system that is safe, capable, efficient, and scalable.

Watch John’s speech to understand how sees.ai will achieve this – plus how Formula 1, fewer humans, and better data will unlock the potential of BVLOS 2.0.
