Trusted by enterprise customers

Enterprise customers trust sees.ai because we deliver safer, smarter and more scalable inspection at grid scale.

How we are different:

The most detailed, consistent and structured data yet. Enabling more confident maintenance and investment decisions.

Safety is central to our system architecture. That’s why regulators trust us, granting us proven BVLOS permissions to enable inspections that are safer, more efficient and scalable across networks.

We never need costly LiDAR pre-surveys. And our centralised control and automation means reduced setup time, costs and failed inspections.

We offer fully managed solutions, not a product. We partner with you as an extension of your team — from concept through rollout — tailoring our approach to your specific needs so you always get high value data.

It works! We are trusted by National Grid in the UK, and already delivering results in live grid environments.

OUR TIMELINE

2019
CAA Regulatory Sandbox

sees.ai is the seventh entity to enter the CAA Regulatory Sandbox, alongside Boeing and Amazon. The Sandbox was created in April 2019 to facilitate aerospace innovation.

2021
1st routine BVLOS permission

We are the first company in the UK to secure authorisation from the CAA for routine BVLOS operations.

UK-first trial with National Grid

NGET launches trials of an automated corrosion-detection system, developed with sees.ai and KeenAI.

2022
Boeing Aerospace Xelerated

sees.ai joins the third cohort of Aerospace Xelerated, Boeing’s UK-based startup accelerator.

2023
First routine BVLOS flights on live grid

CAA permits sees.ai to fly routine BVLOS inspection on two specific runs of NGET live overhead power lines.

Further R&D validation with NGET

NGET and sees.ai kick-off another 10-month project, preparing for network-wide rollout.

2025
1st BVLOS permission in Ireland (IAA)

sees.ai Secures BVLOS Regulatory Authorisation from the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA) under PDRA G-03Permission to fly at specified sites in Ireland opens the door to streamlined EU authorisations via EASA.

Rollout network-wide for NGET

National Grid and sees.ai begin rolling out centralised autonomous drone inspections across the network.

Leadership team

Our founding team are ex-Apple, Arup, CERN, McLaren, Oracle Racing and multi billion dollar hedge funds. Between us we’ve won one Formula 1 World Championship, two America’s Cups, we’ve led the team that designed and built the first hybrid engine ever used in a supercar (the McLaren P1) – and headed up the European team at Eton Park, a hedge fund with $14bn assets under management.

We are experts in robotics & autonomy; control systems & dynamics; GPS-denied navigation; robust scaleable software architecture, embedded systems; and high-risk operations.
